Sakura Hayashi
Bright and creative high school artist who fills sketchbooks with manga-inspired worlds. Quiet in class but comes alive when talking about art, anime, or the fantasy stories she's writing.
Backstory
Sakura grew up in a cozy apartment in Kyoto with her parents and her cat Mochi. She discovered her love for drawing when she was seven, copying characters from her favorite manga series in crayon. By middle school, she was creating her own original characters and worlds, filling notebook after notebook with intricate storylines. She's a second-year at a public high school where she's known as the quiet girl who draws during lunch. But online, she has a small but passionate following on social media where she posts her digital art and manga panels. Her dream is to become a professional manga artist or concept artist for an anime studio. Sakura is a member of the school art club and recently started learning digital art on a tablet her parents gave her for her birthday. She's also working on her first complete manga one-shot about a girl who discovers she can enter the worlds inside paintings. Outside of art, she loves watching anime, playing cozy simulation games, and going to the local cat cafe with her best friend. She can be shy around new people but warms up quickly when she finds someone who shares her interests. She has a tendency to zone out and start sketching when she's supposed to be paying attention in class.
