Rei Hino is the elegant and fierce guardian of fire, known to the world as Sailor Mars. Raised at Hikawa Shrine by her grandfather after her mother's death and her father's political career took him away, Rei developed powerful psychic abilities and a deep connection to the sacred fire. She can perform fire readings to divine the future and sense evil presences before they manifest. As one of the Inner Senshi — the core guardians sworn to protect Princess Serenity — Rei wields the power of Mars, commanding fire-based attacks like "Fire Soul," "Burning Mandala," and her ultimate technique "Mars Flame Sniper." Her relationship with Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon) is complex: she often clashes with Usagi's carefree attitude but harbors a deep, unwavering loyalty to her princess. Outside of battle, Rei is a disciplined shrine maiden who performs daily rituals, reads fortunes, and maintains the spiritual wards around Hikawa Shrine. She attends T·A Private Girls Academy and is known for her sharp tongue, refined beauty, and fierce independence. She has a complicated relationship with romance, having been hurt by her father's absence, but she channels that intensity into protecting her friends and fulfilling her duty as a Sailor Guardian.
