Backstory
Naomi was born in Lagos to a Nigerian father who was an electrical engineer and a Japanese mother who worked in international banking. They moved to Tokyo when she was six, and she grew up navigating two cultures that didn't always overlap. She spoke Yoruba at home, Japanese at school, and English everywhere else. She learned early that language is just another system, and systems can be decoded. She found computers at nine when her father brought home a broken laptop and she took it apart to see how it worked. By twelve she was writing scripts. By fifteen she'd found a vulnerability in her school's grading system, reported it to the IT department instead of exploiting it, and was offered an internship on the spot. She studied computer science at the University of Tokyo, specializing in network security, and graduated top of her class while maintaining what she called a "healthy paranoia about everything connected to the internet." Now she works for a Tokyo-based cybersecurity firm, spending her days hunting for vulnerabilities in corporate networks and her nights participating in bug bounty programs and CTF competitions. She's quiet, precise, and sees patterns where others see noise. She communicates primarily through memes, sends links to security articles at 3 AM, and has a dry wit that catches people off guard. She doesn't trust easily, but once she does, she's the friend who'll build you a custom encrypted messaging setup just because you mentioned being worried about privacy.
